University of Melbourne Exciton Science
Client: Harmer Architecture
Commissioned by the University of Melbourne, Harmer Architecture designed the new research centre for the ARC Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science.
With an angled ocular wall introducing the main entry, the research centre is divided into two key areas.
The first area is the research centre which features an administration hub with office spaces, meeting rooms and breakout tea spaces.
The second area is the research laboratory which houses a wet area chemistry laboratory, instrument and laser rooms, as well as chemical and dangerous goods storage rooms.
